The agent for Alabama head coach Nick Saban told University of Texas officials in January that it was the only school he would consider leaving Alabama for and that his success with Alabama had put him under “special pressure,” reports Jim Vertuno of The Associated Press.

According to the report, Saban’s agent, Jimmy Sexton, made the comments during a 45-minute call with former Texas Regent Tom Hicks and current Regent Wallace Hall.

Hicks also detailed the call in a Sept. 24 email.

“Sexton confirmed that UT is the only job Nick would possibly consider leaving Alabama for, and that his success there created special pressure for him,” Hicks wrote.

Two days after the call, Hicks approached Texas coach Mack Brown about the possibility of retiring. Brown is under contract until 2020.

Saban is 76-13 in seven seasons as Alabama’s head coach. His teams have won three out of the past four BCS Championships.

Originally reported in January!?!?!!?  Someone is desperate to get inside the heads of Crimson Tide players.

" I really, you know, in the end, it affected my integrity as a person by saying one thing and doing something else. "

Saban's reply during 60 minutes interview as to how his lie at Miami made him feel.

Thinking he's not going anywhere but to the pasture once he's done at UA.

This is a re-post. Someone at SI must not want UA to win.  The story is almost a year old now...

I could see him jump ship- think about it- the SEC is TOO powerful, the Big 12 is weak right now (relatively speaking) and you don't think Coach Saban would OWN Texas as far as recruiting....there isn't a kid in TX that wouldn't want to play for him...and there is plenty of $$ for upgrades to the already decent facility.  I see this happening.

Wait don't all of these stories stem from the exact same interview?  Why the piecemeal revelations?
