Eagles head coach Chip Kelly confirmed Wednesday that Nick Foles, who missed last week’s game with a concussion, will be the team’s starter against the Raiders on Sunday.

Foles, who hasn’t turned the ball over this season, was cleared to practice on Tuesday, so the announcement by Kelly was expected.

BANKS: Dallas Cowboys continue a historic reign of mediocrity

The Eagles (3-5) are 1-1 with Foles as the starter. He also led them to a win over the Giants after Michael Vick left early with a hamstring injury. Foles has completed 58 percent of his passes for 622 yards and six touchdowns. He’s also ran for 28 yards and a score.

Philadelphia’s fast-paced offense has struggled to score the last two weeks with only 10 combined points in losses to the Cowboys and Giants.

Matt Barkley is expected to back up Foles, as Vick will likely be inactive after aggravating his hamstring.

I'm still dizzy after watching this "electrifying" offense score so much the last few weeks !!!!

I'm afraid the Chip Kelly experiment will end in much the same way as most college coaches do in the NFL (Spurrier, Saban, Holtz, Erickson, etc.),   He will be back in college after next year.
