World Series Game 5: Allen Craig to start for Cardinals, Shane Victorino available off bench for Red Sox
Allen Craig will start at first base and bat sixth for the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the World Series against the Boston Red Sox despite being hampered by a foot injury, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Red Sox right fielder Shane Victorino was thought to miss his second straight game because of lower-back tightness, but is now available to play. Jonny Gomes will play left field tonight, and Daniel Nava will move to Victorino’s place in right field.
The Red Sox and Cardinals are tied at two games apiece in the best of seven series.
So Victorino available. Pedroia and Ortiz moved up in lineup to "lengthen out lineup behind David" Farrell says—
