Miami wide receiver Phillip Dorsett suffered a partial MCL tear and will miss the next 4-6 weeks, according to the Miami Herald.

Dorsett, who leads the team with a 20.9 yards-per-catch average, went down in the first half of the undefeated Hurricanes 27-23 win over the North Carolina Tarheels. Miami coach Al Golden said he was worried the injury would be more severe:

“Last night it did not look good,” Golden said of Dorsett’s injury. “We’re all relieved and I know he is. We’re all disappointed, but he’ll go through the adversity and be back. Certainly it could have been far worse.”

Miami also saw running back Duke Johnson and safety Kacy Rodgers sidelined with injuries on Thursday, but both are expected to be ready to go for the team’s game against Wake Forest on Oct. 26.

@MarkCleary Players are going way to low since they think they'll all get penalized for unintentional contact with another players Helmet but this stuff is Dirty & Rampant. Watch the PACKERS Game last Weekend VS. BALTIMORE, they lost RANDALL COBB & another Key WR.
