The Lakers tip off the 2013 season on Oct. 29 against the Clippers, but it’s looking more unlikely by the day that Kobe Bryant will be in the lineup that night.

Bryant told Lakers.com reporter Mike Trudell that he still can’t fully push off the surgically-repaired Achilles tendon in his left leg that he injured on April 12 against the Warriors.

Head coach Mike D’Antoni already said he doesn’t see a way Bryant returns by the opener, but the 35-year-old guard continues to rehab with the team as it plays preseason games in China.

I ruptured my Achilles about two years ago — a total break. The repair is fine but I will never be able to move like I did before and the tendon is much weaker. You can feel how this injury weakens the tendon severely.  Also, repeat ruptures and ruptures of other tendons are common. It should be of no surprise if Kobe never makes it back.

well at least this way he couldn't force himself from behind on any women. Not enough traction.

But I bet Achilles could push off on Patroclus.

It hurts to say this,

He should take the year off and come back next season....L.A. is going to be garbage this season anyway there is no reason to rush back

Watched some pre-season action & they have NO DEFENSE at all AND they can't score...

L.A.'s 1st team couldn't defend the Warrior's 2nd team. Might be a long year for Lakers fans

'roids will take care of that, you can bet he's injecting crazy amounts of PEDs at this point.
