Seahawks coach Pete Carroll says WR Percy Harvin is ‘closer’ to return
Harvin is currently on the physically unable to perform list, but he can return in Week 7 if he is healthy. Seattle plays against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday night in Week 7.
The Seahawks then don’t play again until Oct. 28, a Monday night game at St. Louis.
Seattle acquired Harvin in an offseason trade with the Minnesota Vikings and signed him to a six-year, $67 million contract, with $25 million guaranteed.
“He will be back in town this week,” Carroll said on ESPN Radio. ”He was in New York to make sure the doctor that did the surgery, and his rehab team, were ready to sign off on it. I know he started running last week. I don’t know any more than that until we get him out here, but it’s encouraging. We’re getting closer. It’s going to happen as soon as possible.”
