Lane Kiffin’s most high-profile recruit did not mince words when asked his reaction to the USC head coach’s firing.

“I feel that he should have been fired a while ago,” Cordell Broadus — son of rapper Snoop Dogg — told 247Sports.com.

Broadus, regarded as one of the top 10 wide receiver recruits in the Class of 2015, received an offer from USC in April. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound 16-year-old has also received offers from LSU, Nebraska, and USC rivals California and UCLA.

He also told the website that “USC is going to raise the bar now because the new coaching staff next year and I’m anxious to see what they are going to look like.”

Snoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, is a well-known Trojans fan who has attended practice at USC.

He was involved in a scandal last month when reports emerged that he picked up USC running back Silas Reed in a limo during his recruitment. Kiffin denied the report, saying “I’ve never met Snoop Dogg in my life.

This is a kid who is  16 years  old.  He is a high school boy. Come on man.......write stuff about  things that somebody who  knows what's what is talking about.

He is just a kid. If he don't like Sou. Cal he is free to go wherever he wants to.

So he was so dissatisfied with the coaching situation that he committed to the school?

Personally, Snoop should check his kid. I'm just saying. I've seen film of Cordell and he's ok. He's not the second coming or the chosen one at this point.  But even more, even bigger than all of that, he hasn't got to the college game yet. And since he hasn't, he's not really in a position to "share" his thoughts on this subject. Quite frankly, the reporters that sought him out and asked his opinion need their journalistic butts beat. You don't ask a teenager their input on adult situations that they have neither the first hand knowledge about it, or are a part of it.

Like @youngnorth77 said below, the first thing Cordell needs to do is become part of a program, second thing is be productive in that program. Third, graduate.  Then he can talk crap about his coaches because until then, he's better off being seen and not heard.

Cordell Dogg might jump on board the Bruins after they beach smack the Troje this season, the way the Raiders beach smacked Lane on the way out.

he has to first get on a team and become relevent before he starts in on a program like he's deion sanders in the nfl during free agency he might not ever make it to the field in college  lot of these guys look good playing against these small untalented high school kids then get these high ratings then get to college and can't even get on the field

Who is Silas Reed?  I've heard of Silas Redd, the USC running back poached from Penn State, but who is Silas Reed?

Might be a decade+ before these guys catch up to UCLA. Mora's got that area on lock.

Having Snoop Dog sniffing around the team... what an AD's and Coach's nightmare.  I believe the limo story.  Here we go again.

Addendum … can't say I'm all that … sniff … sniff … sad to see USC FAIL.  Been arrogant for far too long and now they be reaping the karmic oats they done sowed when Petey Boy Carroll was at the helm.

Reckon all them Trojies can now go and drown themselves in their Pinot Grigio and Morbier cheese (or whatever fromage du jour the faux glitterati are eating these days) as they watch to the west as UCLA overtakes the Number One Son position in the City of Angels.

Well, you still have, um, uh … what DO you have if not football?

Kiffin has ridden his last name for far too long … even his Dad has filed an injunction for Lane to stop using it.

(JK …)

Still, what LK done?  O'land Raiders? FAIL.  Tennessee? FAIL.  And now USC, his dream job? Big-A$$ FAIL.

Maybe some of these team owners and ADs (is that redundant?) oughtta take a look in the mirror and question their OWN ability to assess coaching talent.

Just sayin' …

All of Tenn. is partying today.  What comes around goes around and Kiffin finally got his due.   When you screw people over it will usually come back to bite you and yep it did.

I am very sad that USC decided to part ways with Lame Kitten.  I would have been perfectly content to see this soap opera go on for a loooooong time.

The weed at USC is awesome so sure he'll sign regardless of coach.

My 1 year old grand daughter (future quarterback) told me the same thing in baby talk and I believe her.

OK, so why are you quoting a 17 year old recruit (class of 2015) who hasn't committed anywhere?

FredFlintsone

So why did you let him recruit you? loyalty. Don't worry Lane Kiffin remains a coaching legend in his  own  mind.

@marc18 you missed the 4 star recruit that was being recruited by USC part, I guess.

@Morpheusgreen No doubt....true NCAA sanctions nightmare for this program with that kind of activity around the facility.

Obviously he's trying to stay abreast of the college game.

It will play a factor in where he ultimately decides to go to school.

An informed decision is the best decision.

@x72 Why because he was asked a question and answered honestly or because you don't like hip hop music and will base your judgment on that?

Actually, he is minding his business. He's in the process of making a very important decision in his young life.

@crimsonmastodon The smart choice would be Cal.  No national titles there, but at least he'll have a shingle from one of the top universities in the world.

@NickWright @marc18 Well we should be hearing from many other 4 star recruits in the coming days then.  It must be some sort of new trend.

Ciscos

@Lizard_King @NickWright @marc18 ~ Not interested in hearing anything a 5, 4 or even a 3 star kid has to say about the business side of the college game that they have no knowledge about or are not a part of - yet.
