Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was cited on a misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge Monday morning, reports WCPO.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Jones was cited for disorderly conduct after a 2013 Dodge Durango he was a passenger in was pulled over at about 2:30 a.m., authorities said.

Jones and the vehicle’s driver were released on their own recognizance and are scheduled to appear in court at 12:30 pm. on Sept. 27.

Jones was accused of hitting a woman at bar this summer.  He was charged with misdemeanor assault, pleaded not guilty to the charge and is scheduled for an Oct. 7 trial in that case.

According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, this is at least the eighth arrest for Jones since he became a professional football player in 2005. He also was suspended by the NFL for the entire 2007 season for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

More from WCPO.com:

The driver of that vehicle, Tishana F. Holmes, 33, was stopped for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph zone. Holmes, who had a Georgia driver’s license, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence. According to the OSP police report, Holmes refused a field sobriety test.

Wait...this clown's still in the league?

I really need to start looking like I care on Sundays...

a citation is not an arrest and - why were the police asking him to do anything since he wasnt the driver.  i have been in cars where the cops gave a sobriety test to the driver and didnt ask everyone else to do the same.  this is a non story - totally overblown by media and over eager cops who just wished they could arrest him.

 He was cited for disorderly conduct because he refused to take a field sobriety test. Sounds pretty damaging until you read further that he was the PASSENGER.

Moral of the story: The police are completely out of control.

The NFL should stop drafting dumb criminals. It is time to require a college degree to prove that the athlete has the intelligence to play football and to act like a responsible adult.  These criminals belong is a jail and many do end up there.

Sigh. Hey Adam, did you forget that nothing good happens after midnight? Especially when drinking and pro athletes are involved?

At least she wasn't stripping in the car.

I refuse to believe this story, it is too outlandish.

You know... I understand his pain.  I find it hard to live my life without smacking a young woman every day.  It's like they are just coming at me and I need to smack them.  You guys know what I mean... they are just asking for it.  And those cops... let me tell you about them.  It's like when one is a round i just gotta say "F' it" and get all crazy.  It's just so hard to stand there and take it.  Them in those uniforms looking down at me.  Well Pac Man... I gotta tell you... just keep on keepin it real.  Fight the good fight.

Being "cited" is different than being arrested. That is like saying I got "arrested" for going 5 over the speed limit. Where are the fact finders?

Clearly, some guys NEVER learn. Time for a season long suspension. Or even a lifetime one. This guy is mocking the system.

Goodell will chase some swanky, no-name rapper for flipping off a camera during the SB halftime show but he lets this career criminal keep playing.  That's his priority?

Par for the course for this dysfunctional narcissist.

I don't even think this qualifies as NEWS in the NFL. If there was no strippers or gun play, let it roll!  Big Ups to "Pac-Man". . . .   Hey, if you can't trust guy named Pac-Man who can you trust?

I read that Pac-Man was considering leaving the NFL to pursue a carer in Accounting.  Time will tell if he puts that WVU degree to work.

Pacman is just a class act and a true role model and a pure clean living ghetto warrior who makes all blacks proud.

Hey Pacman, big win vs the Packers. Keep up the good work you guys are for real this year.

Clearly this man is "misunderstood". Clearly there is some level of racism going on here. Clearly this man is a victim. Taking actual responsibility for eight arrests since 2005 is clearly not in the playbook.

@RobertJackeYou are giving him way too much credit.  He'd be selling drugs or find some fake injury to collect disability for the rest of his life.

@RobertJacke

As a WV fan, I couldn't agree more.

What a train wreck he's made himself.

@carnage_2012

Yeah, it would be much better if he stuck crucifixes in the ground upside-down and burnt them to the ground.... fail.

Yeah, really. I'm sure people of your color never cause trouble. The report didn't even state what he allegedly did in order to be charged with disorderly conduct.

@x72  Yeah just never mind him being arrested....AGAIN. Good job idiot. And by the way, they are for real this year? We are 3-4 games in. Tad early for that.

@TerrapinStation87 I'm not saying that you are a racist, but you are talking like one. Just saying. Please, think about that. No one is defending Jones's indefensible behavior. So your attack makes you sound pretty bad.

@TerrapinStation87 Clearly Pac Man is a total loser.  Eight arrests?  He should be banned from the league for life.  Shame on the Bungles for employing him.  He is looking at a life behind bars after his playing days are over.
