Report: Broncos fear tackle Ryan Clady could miss rest of season due to Lisfranc injury
Clady was injured during the Broncos’ 41-23 victory over the New York Giants on Sunday. The Post reported that the Broncos fear that it is “serious.”
They are considering their options of placing him on both the season-ending injury reserve and on the IR with the designation to return. A player on the latter IR can return no sooner than eight weeks after he is placed on the list.
The Broncos are 2-0 despite missing several starters — including cornerback Champ Bailey, who has not played this season because of a foot injury, and linebacker Von Miller, who will miss the next four games serving out his suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Clady, a six-year veteran, had started all 82 games in which he’d appeared since he was drafted by the Broncos out of Boise State in the first round in the 2008 NFL Draft.
Clady and the Broncos agreed to a new five-year contract before training camp.
