New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez’s appeal of MLB’s 211-game suspension is scheduled for Sept. 30, according to Steven Marcus of Newsday.
The location for Rodriguez’s appeal hasn’t been disclosed. The appeal will likely take place in New York.

If the Yankees make the playoffs, however, ESPN’s Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York reports the appeal could be delayed. Rodriguez has been allowed to play despited being suspended by MLB for 211 games.

In 27 games with the Yankees this season, Rodriguez is hitting .283 with four home runs and 10 RBI. Rodriguez is still owed $87 million until the 2017 season but will not be paid during the ban.

The Yankees entered play on Friday 2.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for the final wild card.

That joke of a commissioner named Sellig needs ARod to keep selling tickets wherever the NYY play.  Otherwise he wouldn't have allowed him to appeal.

Wow... let's reschedule criminals' trials until after they have grown old and died so they won't be inconvenienced.

I'm no fan of ARod's, but, IMHO, they should legalize all substances for our entertainment. We use PED's everywhere in our society. We use fertilizer in our gardens, for example. I'm against Drug testing as a rule, no one has a right to engineer our society. The strong survive and the weak die. I'd rather see a 10 - 9 slugfest than a 1 - 0 sleeper. If nothing else, if a Dr can prescribe it, and does, it should be okay. BTW, whats the diff if ARod tried to buy the evidence and MLB STOLE or coerced it? Oh, and whatever happened to the right to privacy when it comes to medical issues? #confused

@chipdavis Great idea Chip.  Let's allow kids in High School to take them as well and who cares about the side effects and an early death as long as Chip Davis is entertained.  You are confused and not the sharpest pencil in the desk drawer.

@Sportsredo @chipdavis Really? How about we restrict it to adults like alcohol? And my confusion is about the "justice". Sharpest pencil in the drawer? I'm the pen, jerk.
