Bears WR Brandon Marshall says he’s frustrated by hip
Marshall has played in limited action during the preseason, and is coming off a 2012 campaign in which he earned first-team All-Pro honors after catching 118 passes for 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Bears start the regular season at home against the Cincinnati Bengals Sept. 8.
“So yeah, I’m not where I want to be right now,” he said to the Chicago-Sun Times. “It’s a little frustrating. But we’ll see. … Some people might think I need to be farther on than where I am, so it’s a little frustrating not being where I want to be right now and maybe being pushed a little bit.”
Bears head coach Marc Trestman said he knows that Marshall is working hard to get healthy.
“I know this: Brandon is working his tail off to try to get himself ready,” Trestman said. “He feels a sense of urgency because the season is (11) days away, and he’s a highly competitive man.”
