Devils re-sign center Adam Henrique

The Devils have re-signed restricted free agent center Adam Henrique to a multiyear contract, the team announced Monday.

Tom Gulitti of the Bergen Record reported the Devils and Henrique agreed on a six-year contract worth a total of $24 million on Saturday.

The 2011-12 Calder Trophy finalist has been in the Devils’ organization since the team took him in the third round of the 2008 NHL Draft.

Henrique, 23, has scored 27 goals and 67 points in 117 career regular season games, and five goals and 13 points in 24 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

His career highlights include scoring series-clinching overtime goals in the 2012 Eastern Conference quarterfinals against the Panthers and the Eastern Conference final against the Rangers.
