Giants GM: David Wilson is our starting running back
When the first-team offense lines up Sept. 8 in their season opener against the Dallas Cowboys, Giants general manager Jerry Reese said to expect Wilson to get the starting nod.
“(Brown) had a terrific season going last year until he got hurt,” Reese said on ESPN Radio. “(Brown’s) had the injury bug a little bit since he’s been in the league. But if he can stay healthy, and David Wilson comes on like we expect him too, we think we can have a pretty dynamic backfield.”
Wilson had 71 carries for 358 yards and four touchdowns in his rookie season.
