Knicks guard J.R. Smith reportedly has taken his reputation as a brash, outspoken and sometimes overly aggressive competitor to the streets in the form of an unusually bold vehicle. The New York Post‘s Page Six reports Smith was spotted driving a Gurkha F5 armored vehicle.

The Gurkha, manufactured by Terradyne Armored Vehicles of Toronto, is priced at $450,000 and used by police and military forces. If Smith has purchased or leased the truck, he’s likely paying for it courtesy of a new $24 million contract with the Knicks.

MANNIX: No surprises atop NBA Eastern Conference Power Rankings

According to Terradyne’s website, the Gurkha’s specifications include an eight-cylinder diesel engine and weights more than 13,000 pounds.

A $450,000 truck nobody needs.  5 years after he retires, he'll be filing for bankruptcy. That $24 million contract he sign will be gone, like so much dust in the wind.

you should get the story correct before you go reporting it, the truck doesn't belong to JR, it belongs to the Slowbucks crew, which JR is part of their little entourage, check his Instagram and you see the Slowbucks snail all over the truck

If Lloyd had one of these then maybe Hernadez would have bought the farm.
