Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has heard all the chatter about his near record-breaking season after coming back from a devastating knee injury.

Peterson wants to silence the critics raising questions about how he came back so strong and welcomes being tested for human growth hormone to prove he is clean.

He also said that he is certain that NFL players are using HGH and wants the league to establish a testing program to start “evening out the playing field.”

KING: Adrian Peterson’s quest for 2,500 yards

“You’ve got HGH, something that doesn’t show up on a test, and you’ve got guys out there trying to provide for their families,” Peterson said to ESPN.com. “They’re going to try to get that edge, get that advantage, especially if they’re not worried about trying to get caught. Yeah, it’s being used.”

Peterson was back on the field less than nine months after his knee surgery. He capped off the season by rushing for 2,097 yards, 12 touchdowns and was named the league’s Most Valuable Player.

OK; assume that the use of HGH WOULD allow the seemingly miraculous recovery from a potentially career threatening injury.

Explain to me again exactly WHY that would be a bad thing?

He believes the sun comes up each day as well.

Derrick Rose had a similar injury last year and did not play at all this year.  Granted, he wussed out and could have played a year later after the injury, but there is no way that a knee injury heals as quickly as Peterson's did without some "help."   Rose is a hell of an athlete and he could not make it back.  Others that did come back from this injury were only shells of themselves for that season, and it was not until the next year where they were back to their old selves.

I am sorry to say this, as I like the guy, even though I am a Bears fan, but given how many other athletes have said "I will take a test" knowing that the union will not allow it is just showing that he is bluffing.

I hate to say someone is guilty before being proven otherwise, but the evidence and history is stacked up against him.  A massive knee reconstruction and he comes back months before anyone else has, and comes back and sets records.....when it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...

Peterson is a user.  There's no way gruesome knee injuries like that heal without some help, even with all the latest cutting edge rehab protocols.  The only way you heal torn knee ligaments and don't heal as fast is to either take HGH or IGF-1.

And in other news, unconfirmed reports out of several meteorological organizations indicate a large, yellow star will appear in the eastern skies today, visible from virtually anywhere on the globe.

Uh duh, AP.  My guess it it's over 50% that's on some sort of PED.

Soooo....what you're saying is you were on hgh? Thats cool...still dig ya man...

WHAT!? YOU THINK!? Nice deduction, Sherlock Peterson.

Interesting that Peterson wants to be tested, and then adds that he knows that their are peds being used that can't be detected.  Well hell, if I knew that, I would be willing to submit to a test also.  Sort of like "if the glove don't fit, you must acquit".. OJ was more than happy to put on the glove in front of a crowd.

I awoke and found out that Adrian P said that HGH is definitely being used by some NFL players. Shocking! So shocking that I yawned and went back to sleep.

For those of you posting comments about AP's physique being unnatural, you may need to be enlighten by at least one key point: you still have to exercise and proper diet to get this way. Sorry, but there is no pill that just makes you a freak and burns fat as many of you have just figured out.

Peterson also believes that water is wet and some NFL players may have criminal records.

Most of the NFL is on something - you don't get those physiques naturally

This just in. Adrian Peterson say water is wet.

BS~ the "heal faster" mantra has been coming from players for years! If you weren't unnaturally balking up than you would have less severe injuries.  Everybody knows football can be dangerous.   I bet 80-90 percent use PEDs in the NFL.  I would bet with almost certainty that he is among them.  Folks who believe otherwise are completely naive!  Who cares if it helps you heal faster if you have unnatural muscle gains, set a poor example for kids, and could accelerate cancer cells.   National Fraud League.

Sadly, this is what every PED user starts out saying --- before they get caught.

Whether it will hold up here, only time will tell.

Those who can't and don't will always be yakking about those who can and do.  It's all over every comment section in any news story...regardless of subject.  So yeah, not surprised at all to see those below and their "indisputable evidence.

There is a reason people like you can't and don't.

Peterson was a stallion in high school, college, and in the pros. The guy is naturally strong, and physically gifted. Not like he all of a sudden got jacked, plus he recovered quickly and better than most after a collar bone injury....and the moment he broke his collar bone was rather unfazed and composed. GOD GIVEN BEAST!!!

Welcomes being tested?  A little late now, a year after rehabbing.

I really wouldnt care if HGH was legal in the NFL for rehabbing and regulated by team doctors...players want to play asap, fans want their favorite players on the field...the levels of testosterone in you body are measurable...the solution...set a level in the nfl...have the doctors be able to administer it for Injuries only...and dont exceed the level..if you caught higher than you are supposed to be that boom suspension.

Reporter: "Hey Adrian, so we were wondering how you recovered so fast?"

Peterson: "Huh? NOOOO, I DIDN'T USE HGH! What are you talking about? Test me, I dare you to test me!"

Why anyone lets this guy speak is beyond me.  Just run the football ya dolt.

Is he for real?  Hahaha... dude it's ok, everyone knows you used HGH to get back on the field as soon as you could and you are fine being tested for it because you are healed and don't need it anymore.  DUH  Of course it is easy to know it is being used having been one to use it.

@Aguilas We can do ourselves a favor by resisting the idea that athletes should be role models for kids.  They are by and large dumb jocks.

@Iceman17SMH the man was running and cut less than nine months post op. I've seen sooo many people recover from ACL/PCL/LCL tear (I know one person who tore all 3) and the way he was making cuts and running around in circles in July w/o a knee brace full speed is not even natural.

Not even RG3 or Revis are playing at full speed. They are running light drills but he was running football speed less than 9months POST OP. I'm sorry. I can't believe this superhuman hype. It's 2013.

@OwG Using the same sleuthing skills as you, I assume you're overweight and not a very bright person. I have no evidence to prove that, but I'm pretty sure my assumption is correct. I can't find any needle marks on you either. Sorry for your misfortune.

Kleneff

@OwG Which evidence?  It's easy to accuse someone maliciously.  I want to see this indisputable evidence.  Hard work and talent is all anyone can seem to come up with. You must have some inside info, right?

TS

@OwG If you only knew the rules on how to eat. avoid things that your body doesn't need and exercise, you too would see how maintaining a physique like AP is attainable. Most people never read their own owner's manual so they can only dream and make unsubstantiated accusations.

More like hard work hiding the needle tracks. The evidence is all around to be found.

@TS @OwG True, and more weighty 'cause you didn't include a link.  A starter plan: your "exercise," "avoid" high-fructose corn syrup (soda pop, etc.), daily consumption of processed & non-organic meats and fish w/high mercury content, and then take professionally-recommended supplements.  Some favorites: multi-Vitamin, Vit-D, magnesium, potassium, calcium, CoQ10 and fish oil.  Moderate alcohol, don't smoke, protect your skin / eyes and always do those warm-ups first.  What do ya' think?

Claiming AP is clean is the real unsubstantiated accusation, hear.

@Iceman17 @OwG @Kleneff

More like he's been a freak of roid rage since high school. Since we all know that AP has the IQ of a bucket of marbles, im surprised he has kept it quiet for so long. Time is a icy cold mistress.

@OwG @Kleneff You are lame. Petersen has been a freak of nature since high school, and probably one of the only players ever who could have skipped college, right into the NFL. The guy has always been remarkably built. Sip on your Haterade though playa, drink it in.

@KeysSteven @TS @OwG Fish oil causes prostate cancer risk to rise dramatically. That being said, I still eat plenty of fish, just avoid the tablets. Pretty sure many fast recoveries in the NFL are from HGH. RG3 is another likely user. Also, one way to be certain of a club is to be a member...thanks for the admission, AP, but we already assumed.
