Adam Morrison will return to Gonzaga to be an assistant coach, according to TheScore.com.

Morrison was the National Player of the Year for the Zags before being drafted third overall by Charlotte in 2006.

Never finding a role in the NBA, Morrison played just four seasons, although he was on the 2009 and 2010 Lakers championship teams. He also made several stops in Europe playing professionally.

Now 29 years old, Morrison is reportedly completing his degree at Gonzaga, allowing him to be a student assistant with the team.

I was never sold on Adman Morrison from day one... the moment i saw him cry over a basketball game, i said out loud..  that guy will never be a leader of men and his mustache did not help matters either.

I felt the same way about Shareef Abdur-Rahim the California, Berkeley product. He cried on the podium while announcing to leave college after one year. I said good luck to whom ever drafts that guy... Although Shareef had a descent career, he never rose to the levels people expected from him.

He'd better be bringing that sweet mustache back with him

Instead of calling Morrison a bust You should be referring to Adam Morrison as 2 time NBA champion Adam Morrison, something guys like Mullins, Barkley, Malone, Stockton and Baylor can never utter from their mouth...  lol

When he averaged 20 for the Clippers I thought he was finding his way...then, nothing.

He was a better player than Reddick.  So much of this transition from college is work and luck.  Still, Morrison was an incredible shooter, one of the best I've ever seen (and I've seen everyone from the West, at least).

A shame it didn't work.

"Jimmer" will be next.

Another weak willed slow white guy who couldn't jump and wasn't quick enough for the NBA.

Should've known the moment he fell on the ground and cried in Gonzaga's tournament game...that was a goofy @ss display. Maybe the fact that 90% of his points were turnaround set shots off of one foot over 6 foot guards in college too. Or when they tested his vertical with a roll of quarters. He was Dirk Knowitski...minus 5 inches and the foreign born obliviousness to the fact he's white and in the NBA.

I think he took this job to stop all the calls from the Lakers about being on their 2013-2014 Reunion Tour. Notice Derek Fisher went right over and signed with the Thunder today too.

I would've bet money he had NBA written all over him. You just never know.

I noticed how Charlotte is changing from 'Bobcats' to 'Hornets.'  Boy, the lengths they are going to in order to erase their history of Adam Morrison.
