San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick’s No. 7 jersey was the NFL’s top-selling jersey from April 1 to June 30, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.

Three other quarterbacks — two of them who were also first-year starters last season — joined Kaepernick in the top five based NFLShop.com sales.

Russell Wilson’s No. 3 Seahawks jersey sold the second-most, followed by Robert Griffin III’s No. 10 Redskins jersey, running back Adrian Peterson’s No. 28 Vikings jersey and Peyton Manning’s No. 18 Broncos jersey.

The 49ers are leading the offseason in jersey sales, followed by the Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots.

San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o had the the top-selling rookie jersey, followed by the Rams’ Tavon Austin, the Bill’s E.J. Manuel, the Vikings’ Cordarrelle Patterson and the Packers’ Eddie Lacy.

Te’o, the 38th overall pick in the second round, is the only defensive player in that group.

The Niners are a trendy team right now, talented and young, play hard. The only thing holding them back is a head coach that is not a great game manager and it cost them a Super Bowl last year.

The only #7 that matters is John Elway.

@canuckgator Kaep's just trying to goose some sales for the AFC teams too. Fins fans haven't had much to cheer for recently.

@Baldini1 Not even sure why people buy Cowboys gear. I guess its because they are a well marketed team. Couldnt be because they are a winning franchise as of late

Easy there youngblood, he's just saying it's interesting that the Niners, Hawks and Ravens have gotten better lately so the jersey sales went up, and the Boys and Pats pick up fairweathers so it makes sense...
