Pistons sign two draft picks

Caldwell-Pope, the eighth overall pick from the University of Georgia, averaged 13.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in five Orlando summer league games. He led the Southeastern Conference in scoring last season as a sophomore and was named the conference’s Player of the Year.
Mitchell, the 37th overall pick out of the University of North Texas, averaged 7.8 points and 6.8 rebounds in the summer league. He averaged 13.7 points, 9.3 rebounds and led the Sun Belt Conference in blocks per game last season.
