An 18-year-old Long Island teenager faces one year in jail for running onto Citi Field during Major League Baseball’s All-Star game Tuesday night.

According to a report Thursday from DNAInfo.com, Dylan McCue-Masone was arraigned this week in a Queens Criminal Court on multiple charges including third-degree criminal trespassing. He will return to court on Sept. 11 and, if convicted, could face up to one year in jail and thousands of dollars in civil penalties.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown commented on the incident, according to the report:

“What is particularly disturbing in this case is that the incident occurred while the game was in progress and the players were on the field.”

According to the report, tweets believed to be from the teenager say that he would run across the field if his message is retweeted 1000 times. Shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday night, approximately two hours after he tweeted the message, McCue-Masone, donning a New York Yankees t-shirt, jumped from the stands and took to the field:

Footage of the incident can be seen below:

One year in jail is a waste of taxpayer dollars.  Make him do community service for the next few years.

I think we as a country have somewhat confused our priorities. People killing each other left and right in Florida, they don't get any jail time.

that looks like George Zimmerman...good to see he is getting some jail time

Where the hell did everyone go? If they went to better sites, I want to know. ESPN was the best thing going, and now I feel like the new kid in a new school. This blows. lol

SI should allow people to sign in using their ESPN account, just to mess with ESPN

While I dont agree with a year in jail, seems pretty harsh, he does need to get slapped around a bit.  Have him do some community service at the field.....cleaning the bathrooms for example....

Does Hernandez do life in prison or does his sleaze lawyer get him off?

The good news is he will likely serve 6 months with good behavior.

The bad news is he'll be Aaron Hernandez's cellmate.

Okay, Kate Upton should be the answer to everything. Agreed.

Seriously.  This guy will have to live down the fact that he got BODYSLAMMED on national TV.  That is already pretty good punishment.  He should have kept running and made them tackle him instead of stopping and being BODYSLAMMED like a kitty to the ground.

Who would you rather have in the postseason: Peyton or Eli?

Aha. Got here via mobile. Not sure why that was so hard, other than my questionable intelligence.

What a dumb as$ kid. Could have ruined his life with this stupid stunt, we'll find out.

-Espn brought me here. I find it hilarious that espn stories only have 500 or so comments. The most I saw was 454, I naturally went there, whoops.

I've watching episode after episode of Cheers on Netflix. It's so good. I was too young to appreciate the early years, so it's nice to go back and watch it now.

I feel like a couple of dudes lost at sea. I'm pretty sure I'm a carbohydrate addict.

there should only be one story written about the all star game every year, and that is why does this exhibition game decide  such an important advantage like home field in the world series?

@SeanHHS My answer to who would you rather is always "Kate Upton" regardless of context.

@jimmybuckets21 old habits die hard. I'm still on that Paul Pierce article, but I gave up on it about an hour ago.

@joe6647 I gave up about 40 minutes ago. You have to refresh after ever comment; all the comments are bland and to the point; there is no imagination, humor, or creativity there anymore.

@Scramble @Washheightsboy @SeanHHS so this is what we get from ESPN, comments that have nothing to do with the article?  I would love to see the football stuff on a football article.  I am starting to understand ESPN's decision.

@Washheightsboy @SeanHHS The first game of the season should decide who is going to the big dance. The Ravens defense will be a top three this year with the running game matching the defense. I'm sure Flacco will catch a defender falling down here and there again along the way.

@Washheightsboy damn, I love me some Peyton. You guys better win it this year or the window could shut and shut fast.
