Report: Johnny Manziel apologizes to Texas A&M after leaving Manning camp early
Manziel was sent home from the Manning Passing Academy because he missed assigned meetings and practice sessions, apparently due to illness. Manziel, last season’s Heisman Trophy winner, was at the academy, held at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La., as a college coach and counselor.
But there were several reports earlier Sunday that said Manziel was sent home by Archie Manning because of “partying” but camp officials said those reports were not true.
Manziel’s father told the Dallas Morning News that he was was resting and recuperating from “dehydration,” after being at the camp.
