The Dallas Mavericks agreed to a three-year deal that could be worth as much as $30 million with free-agent guard Monta Ellis, reports

Ellis opted out of the final year of his six-year, $66 million deal with the Milwaukee Bucks to seek a higher contract elsewhere, but so far, Ellis hadn’t received the kind of money he thinks he deserves and fired his agent because of it.

The former Most Improved Player of the Year from 2007 turned down a contract extension with the Bucks that would’ve paid him $36 million over three years.

Ellis, 27, averaged 19.2 points and six assists for Milwaukee last season and was reportedly being sought out by several teams, including the Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings and Charlotte Bobcats.

I know Mark Cuban thinks he is a genius, but he gave away a championship team that had great chemistry, with very little to show for it so far.

Papi Del Negro..... Dont ask
Papi Del Negro..... Dont ask

Teach you to turn down an extension that overvalued you. Six million dollars left on the table is not chump change but a positive could be no state tax in Texas maybe equivalates to same amount he would have seen with the Milwaukee extension.
