Report: Timberwolves, Nikola Pekovic close to four-year, $50 million extension
The Minnesota Timberwolves and center Nikola Pekovic are close to finalizing a four-year, $50 million extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.
In three seasons of work with the Wolves, Pekovic has proven to be a bonafide NBA big man capable of scoring in the post (16.3 points per game last season), rebounding (8.8) and defending the paint while complementing Kevin Love’s offensive game.
The Serbian told USA Today over the weekend that “he wants to stay in Minnesota.”
