Andrew Bynum, who is coming off an knee issues that kept him out for the entire 2012-13 season, will not be working out for teams during free agency, his agent told Yahoo! Sports.

Bynum underwent arthroscopic surgery on both knees in March. The Mavericks, Cavaliers and Trail Blazers are three of the teams reportedly interested in Bynum, who last played for the Lakers during the 2011-12 season and averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds in 60 games.

From Yahoo! Sports:

Bynum’s agent, David Lee, said Bynum will begin training in July in Atlanta in preparation for next season after completing his rehabilitation from knee surgery. The knee injury caused Bynum to miss the entire 2012-13 season with the Sixers. Lee said there are a “half dozen teams” interested in Bynum and they will be given MRI and other needed medical reports. Bynum, however, will not work out for teams.

It depends on his asking price, I suppose...

Any team that signs Bynum without seeing if he can get back on the court would be better off just flushing the money down the toilet or signing Kwame Brown. What's that you say, the 76ers still have Kwame for another year? That poor, sad team.

Hmm, this will limit your choice to the Mavs, after they are shutout once again from getting a good free agent.

It's going to affect his market value, but it wouldn't be smart for him to work out for teams after only recently completing rehab. At this point, the only thing they could possibly learn from it would be visible in the MRI anyway. It's not going to tell them whether he'll be ready to play in Sept.

What a great way to fleece $17 million and not lift a finger.
