Real Madrid star forward Cristiano Ronaldo will meet with Manchester United “in the next few days” to discuss a possible transfer this summer back to Old Trafford, the team he left in 2009 for a $123 million deal, according to media reports citing Spanish newspaper El Pais on Wednesday.

Manchester United, who will be under the direction of new manager David Moyes next week, is considering a $110.5 million bid to lure the Portuguese star, but Real president Florentino Perez told The Sun this week that he has no doubt Ronaldo will retire with his team:

“Soon we will clarify this issue. I have no doubt that Cristiano is going to retire at Real Madrid. I am convinced that he will renew… Keeping him is our most important activity, around whom we can build the Madrid of the future.”

Ronaldo, 28, had tweeted earlier in June that “all the news about my renewal with Real Madrid are false.”

The news on Wednesday of his possible move back to Old Trafford comes on the same day Real Madrid officially introduced new coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has been hired on a three-year contract with the club.

Lie. He can't discuss nothing because he is under contract with Madrid. FIFA rules.
