Amid of a flurry of trade talks, the Los Angeles Clippers have engaged the Indiana Pacers in preliminary discussions about trading point guard Eric Bledsoe for forward Danny Granger.

ESPN.com’s Marc Stein and Ramona Shelburne reported Sunday that the talks have developed separately from discussions with the Boston Celtics involving Kevin Garnett and head coach Doc Rivers.

From ESPN:

Sources say that the Clippers, meanwhile, have already engaged the Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers in separate trade discussions headlined by Bledsoe, with Orlando’s Arron Afflalo and Indiana’s Danny Granger as the respective trade targets. Indiana, according to sources, is leaning at present toward keeping Granger for the final season of his contract in hopes that the former All-Star swingman’s return from knee surgery can help the Pacers close the gap on Miami in the East, but L.A. has been operating for months under the premise that Bledsoe, once Paul re-signs, will be dealt before becoming a restricted free agent in July 2014.

Though they’re currently separate talks, the Clippers’ insistence on keeping Bledsoe out of any discussions with the Celtics could doom those talks. ESPN reports that both sides will wait to see if either side budges. But if the Celtics don’t, the Clippers are expected to move on from their targeting of Rivers.

Indiana does not need another point guard  they have George Hill payed to big bucks.they need someone that can shoot the three instead of Bledsoe Jamal Crawford would be the best fit

Yeah, KG is pretty broken down at this point.  I wouldn't give an excellent young player like Bledsoe for him, either.

I think what the Pacers should have learned from that series is, as big a leap as Paul George made, there's no making up that size to guard LeBron.  We need Granger for that at the very least.  Not to mention as another scorer to spread the floor.

Trading Granger means RIP any chance the Pacers have.

Welcome back to mediocrity.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.  Don't trade away Granger.  With him, the Pacers will defeat the Heat next year, without him, they won't.

@BrosephVanSlyke Apparently you missed the news that Danny Granger barely played at all this year, and played zero minutes in the playoffs.  The Pacers will be okay if he moves on.
