Report: Nuggets’ Andre Iguodala to opt out of deal
He has until June 25 to exercise the early termination clause on his contract, and most players wait until the deadline to file the necessary paperwork.
“We are fully aware of Andre’s intentions and he’s well aware of how much we want him back,” Nuggets CEO Josh Kroenke said. “Andre us a huge priority for our organization.”
Iguodala was scheduled to make $15.9 million next season and will be eligible to sign a new four-year deal elsewhere or sign an extension up to five years with the Nuggets.
Iguodala spent his first eight NBA seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers and averaged 13 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists in his first season with the Nuggets, who won a franchise-record 57 games last season.
