Troubled NFL cornerback Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones tweeted he was arrested for “protecting himself” on Monday. Jones’ agent Peter Schaffer called the arrest a “travesty of justice” and said police haven’t spoken to Jones.

According to Schaffer, two intoxicated women came up to Jones during a Cincinnati Reds game for a photo opportunity with the six-year cornerback. Schaffer said the two women took the photo and then threw a beer bottle at Jones and then Jones slapped one of the women. No further details of his arrest have been disclosed.

Jones was last arrested in July 2011 for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at a local bar in Cincinnati. He pleaded guilty and was forced to paid a $250 fine along with serving 50 hours of community service. Jones also had his probation extended by a year.

Jones recorded 32 tackles in 2012 while playing for the Bengals.

I re-track my comment about Pac!  That's not cool!  If he posed with 2 chicks and one of them tossed beer on him, then he should have just restrained himself.  You should not have put yourself in line to be sued.  You have to be smarter than that.  But, I can't talk.  I almost snatched a senior citizen because he spit in my face while talking.  I did not know the guy, he was a contracted painter that harassed me for walking through my kids school's gym.  I was at the school's chapel because my kid was getting an outstanding student's award.  Lost my composure.  The guy stereotyped me and I was in business dress attire.  He was only looking at my skin color I suppose.  Not the $300 slacks or $150 shirt with $125 tie, $350 shoes with a $250 Nordy's Sweater.  I guess he was not in to fashion much!

The whole black man out the hood comment is rogue.  That's complete BS.  I'm a black man out of a bad hood and so far some have become professional athletes, Olympian's, retired military veterans, great husbands and fathers and successful businessmen.  Must be a a brother of another color to think that was a cool comment.  You just stereotyped a few people, like myself.  Now, go buy you some coco puffs and chocolate milk and eat that for a month.  Then come back and apologize.

This is what happens when a hoodlum meets up with his talent, he becomes a menace to society.  Dude, grow up!

You can take the black man out of the hood; but you can't take the hood out of the black man.

Getting arrested is as easy as signing an autograph for some athletes.  Jail is a revolving door.   They may have the athletic ability but they're surely missing something upstairs.

the guy is a complete loser.  beat up that darn beer bottle, plastic i might add at a baseball game, and i bet it hurt real bad.  he probably grabbed one and tried a little kissy before she konked his ugly.

@Sricci7

Do you preface every thought and word that comes out of your mouth with  "I'm a black man." Geez, give it a rest.

@Jean  I think you see inconsistency where there is actually consistency.  Tebow will not change.  He will always be a good guy, but not really a good quarterback and Pacman will always be Pacman.

Sad that you had to bring race into it.    Race has nothing to do with the elasticity of character or talent that a football player may or may not possess.   It is just the color of their skin.
