The Orlando Magic, owners of the No. 2 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, are “considering moving down” from their spot and have “quite a few suitors” interested in trading for their pick, according to The Orlando Sentinel‘s Brian K. Schmitz.

Kansas shooting guard Ben McLemore is currently the consensus projection to go No. 2 behind Kentucky big man Nerlens Noel, but McLemore plays the same position as Arron Afflalo, the Magic’s leading scorer from last season (16.5 ppg).

Orlando also possesses two building blocks in center Nikola Vucevic and small forward Maurice Harkless, both acquired from the Sixers in the Dwight Howard trade.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are also reportedly considering trading their No. 1 pick.

I wouldn't mind if the Magic drafted Ben McLemore or Otto Porter.  I feel like the Magic are a team full of role players.

Danny Granger for McLemore, straight up.

If you're name isn't Harkless, O'Quinn, Harris, Vucevic or Nicholson then you're not the future of this team. You're expendable.

@KlArK

I think they'd trade any of those guys too.

@Eman,MasterOfTheUniverse @KlArK yeah, nobody on that roster is untouchable, although there are the guys they'll build around if they aren't offered something better for them.

@drm166 @Eman,MasterOfTheUniverse @KlArK ...........You're right, they could trade those players but I strongly doubt it. They're all on rookie contracts with huge upside so they cause no harm.....Unless, they're needed as filler in a major trade, which would be rare.

Henny is simply shopping the 2nd pick. Weighing out all his options. The only players in this years draft beneficial to the to the Magic are Noel & Bledsoe. Period. McLemore attitude is in question & he can't dribble. Victor O. is a great defender but severely lacking on the offensive side, therefore not worth the #2 pick in the draft. You have to be threat on both sides of the ball to be a "Henny guy"

He'll eventually give up that 2nd pick for Bledsoe. If the Clips give up Bledsoe without that 2nd pick, then I'm sure Henny will STILL trade that #2 pick. Afflalo is not the future of this team. Afflalo is trade bait.

@KlArK

We have a bunch of guys that aren't threats on the defensive end.  Almost our entire front court, for example.  Agree that a one dimensional guy isn't worth a super high pick though.

Also would like to see Bledsoe play with the first team before I name him a savior.  Lots of people seem to think the first pick isn't much more valuable than the 10th pick in this draft.

I think they will be hard pressed to find a good suitor.  No one seems to be really enthralled about anyone in the draft so I think it is unlikely a team would want to move up to the second pick.

Weakest draft in decades. On the other hand next year is already projected to be one of the deepest. I doubt either Cleveland or Orlando will get much of an offer.

@WilyCoyoteSuperGenius Decades? Thats a very bold prediction my friend. Remember the 2000 draft? That could be the worst draft of all time. I doubt we'll see one that bad anytime soon. Even 2006 was questionable. Although i guess Rondo, Aldridge, and Roy saved that one. 2002 was also very weak besides Yao, Stoudemire, and Boozer.
