Diamondback pitcher Daniel Hudson suffers re-tear of UCL
The team is looking at options on how to handle the injury, including a possible season-ending surgery.
The 26-year-old right-hander had Tommy John surgery last July and suffered the re-tear on Tuesday during an extended spring training start at Double-A Mobile after allowing one run on two hits over two innings.
Hudson was 3-2 with a 7.35 ERA and a 1.63 WHIP in nine starts last season before being shut down with the injury. The Diamondbacks are 34-26 this season and lead the NL West by 2 1/2 games over the San Francisco Giants.
