The newly formed American Athletic Conference has its sights set on Memphis to hold the conference’s first men’s basketball tournament, reports CBSSports.com.

AAC commissioner Mike Aresco visited FedExForum on Wednesday and is set to announce “sooner rather than later” that the FedEx Forum, home of the Memphis Tigers and Memphis Grizzlies, will host the tournament, according to the report.

The tournament dates are expected to be March 13-15.

The AAC will be a 10-school league next season featuring Louisville, Memphis, Connecticut, Cincinnati and Temple. The other teams in the conference will be Central Florida, Houston, SMU, Rutgers, and South Florida.
