The Cleveland Cavaliers are considering selecting Georgetown’s Otto Porter Jr. with the first overall pick, the Washington Post reported on Thursday. According to the report, the Wizards are hoping the small forward will drop to the third pick to complement Bradley Beal and point guard John Wall.

The Cavaliers have reportedly been open to trading their No. 1 pick in 2013. Cavaliers general manager Chris Grant said the best course for the team might be to trade the pick to add to the roster. Grant said he wanted to keep “all options open” and that the first pick is an “asset.”

The six-foot-eight forward from Georgetown averaged 16.2 points-per-game with 7.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists in his sophomore season.

Nerlens is poised to be a Chris Washburn / Sam Bowie level bust....

upon further review, i do not think you could give me a house and free money to live in cleveland.  on tv, half the cop shows have  cleveland crimes, lots of them grisly murders with lots of drugs.

It's a weak draft, but I think Porter will make the best pro. Porter does everything well, he reminds me of Paul George. A good two way player who makes good decisions with the ball in his hands.

Just like Geno Smith was #1 and S. Floyd was #2?

Mere pre-draft subterfuge.

@tukwilatommygun Fool with the moniker you have I find it amusing that you would complain about crime. For you information, a retarded and staged show like cops and watched by idiots is not indicative of any city's crime status. Cleveland has lower crime and murder rates than Chicago, Washington, LA, New York, etc. You should check out the stats before you make inane and asinine comments.
