Report: Suns get OK to interview Rockets assistant J.B. Bickerstaff

The Suns have received permission from Houston to interview assistant coach J.B. Bickerstaff for their head coaching job, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Bickerstaff, 34, has become a popular commodity among the NBA’s coaching searches, having already interviewed with the Bucks and Pistons this month.

The son of former NBA head coach Bernie Bickerstaff — most recently the interim guy during the Lakers’ November switch – joined the Rockets in 2011 after serving as an assistant with the Timberwolves and the Bobcats.
