Shane Victorino taken to hospital after crashing into right field wall

MLB

Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino was taken to the hospital after colliding with the right-field wall in the fourth inning on Sunday. Victorino went back on a home-run ball hit by Blue Jays infielder Emilio Bonifacio and violently crashed into the short Fenway fence in right field.

The 32-year-old outfielder stayed in the game for a few innings before being removed with what the Red Sox are calling sore ribs. Victorino went 1-for-3 on the day before being lifted in favor of a pinch-hitter. He is hitting .308 with two home runs and 10 RBI and three stolen bases.

The Red Sox lost to the Blue Jays on Sunday, 12-4.

I was happy as every other sox fan with the way we started this year...new team, new attitude.  Now, I'm starting to get that sick feeling in my gut.  Here come those damn injuries that have come to be normalcy during the past few years.  Pitchers are now the problem....Lester and Buc can't hold the ship...we need the others to get with it or we are in serious trouble.  Hope your well Shane, cause we need you out there.
