Yankees top prospect arrested for DUI
New York Yankees top prospect Mason Williams was arrested and charged with driving under the influence early Thursday morning, Newsday’s Erik Boland reports. Baseball America ranked Williams as the top prospect in the Yankees farm system and ranked him as the 32nd best prospect in baseball after the 2012 season.
Williams is currently playing for the Yankees High Class A affiliate, the Tampa Yankees, where the 21-year-old outfielder has collected 19 hits in 70 at bats this season. Williams batted .277 with three home runs and seven RBI for the Tampa Yankees last year.
