Geno Smith again slams draft experts
Former West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith took to social media on Tuesday afternoon to once again slam draft critics who said he won’t make it in the NFL and who also criticized his skills and work ethic.
Smith is referring to a report in Pro Football Weekly published earlier this month that described him as “a cross between Akili Smith and Aaron Brooks, Smith is a gimmick, overhyped product of the system lacking the football savvy, work habits and focus to cement a starting job and could drain energy from a QB room.”
Smith said the report was “untrue in all things.”
The unflattering report also said Smith had a mild practice demeanor, no urgency and that he was not committed or focused and had a marginal work ethic.
Smith is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the Draft which starts Thursday.
Just want to thank all those so called "experts" who say I can't be an NFL QB. Thursday will be a special day but the work has only begun—
