The spokeswoman for New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano‘s foundation is listed as having been a client of the South Florida Biogenesis clinic last summer, reports ESPN.com.

Sonia Cruz says she has never received anything from the clinic and saying Cano “definitely never did.”

Major League Baseball has a Biogenesis client roster that lists Cruz, and continues its investigation of whether Cano and other major league players had any relationship to the clinic.

Documents obtained by ESPN.com list Cruz as owing $300 to the clinic in both July and August 2012. Those records indicate that she paid the balance in full in July, but the August records do not mention any payment.

More from ESPN.com:

Cano has denied knowing clinic founder Tony Bosch or having ever used performance-enhancing drugs. But as his best friend, Melky Cabrera, his mentor, Alex Rodriguez, and now his spokeswoman have all been connected to clinic documents, MLB wants to know whether any relationship between Cano and the clinic exists.

Cruz, 31, says she was never a client of the Miami-area clinic at the heart of an ongoing performance-enhancing drug scandal.

I've been expecting this for about 2 years now.  Cano is so obviously a PED's user it's almost comical.  The unnatural Sammy Sosa-like physique; suspicious bat-quickness; vague tales of mysterious work-out routines in the Dominican jungle with Yoda-like fitness gurus that no-one has ever heard of, etc.  He's just A-Rod 2.0 - all juice no substance.  The beauty is that the truth is finally coming out in his "walk year."  No team with any brains should should sign him to a big free agent contract now - but no doubt, someone will.  The Dodgers seem dumb enough to do it.
