Baltimore Ravens linebacker Rolando McClain was arrested Sunday night and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest in his hometown of Decatur, Ala., according to a report by local station WHNT.

From the report:

Eyewitnesses at the scene told WHNT News 19 that police officers had ordered McClain and several other people to leave the park after a large crowd had gathered there. McClain allegedly refused to do so, and began cursing at the officers. Authorities said McClain was eventually handcuffed and taken to the city jail before bonding out a short time later.

This is the second time this year McClain has been arrested in Decatur. In January, he was arrested on charges of violating rules on car window tint and trying to lie to police about his identity. He was also arrested in Decatur in December 2011, when he posed for a memorable picture after being taken into custody.

McClain served a two-game suspension last season for conduct detrimental to the Raiders, who released him earlier this offseason. He signed with the Ravens a week later.

The 23-year-old McClain is a former Top 10 NFL Draft pick. He had 62 tackles and one sack in 11 games last season with the Raiders.

@luvfoozball If he wants to play with the big time boys, he has to throw in a murder investigation......................................

These guys have to learn that they are not above the law.  They have been coddled all of their lives so it will probably be a rude awakening but like it or not, some people (especially kids) looks up to these guys.  And to have them act this way sets the wrong example.  The only way for it to stop is for there to be serious consequences any time an athlete is arrested, convicted and/or pleads guilty.  And by serious consequences I mean;  1) having to pay a HEFTY fine with their OWN money and/or 2) being suspended without pay (see #1) and/or 3) losing their jobs.  Anything less is a joke and almost guarantees a repeat performance (read: another arrest), Rolando McClain being a case in point.  Goodell is trying to change this thug culture and he needs to make an example of McClain.  It should be just like it is in baseball (and the real world).  Three strikes and you're out (depending on the offense, of course).

Toss him in jail for a year. See if he learns no to be acting this way, before he kills someone.

If the frigging RAIDERS cut you for being too much of a tool, it might be time for a long, serious look in the mirror.

no big deal---this will give rolando more street cred in the raiders locker room--with a few arrests, the players will look up to him, promoting team unity

He's just carrying on the fight and sticken' it to the Man. When are the Decatur police gonna realize Rolando don't follow the Man's Rules. Rolando does what Rolando wants!

Would not be surprised to see Goodell hand down a suspension unless the team does it first.

Guy was a thug when he played for Alabama. Total bust in Oakland. Wonder what Ozzie Newsome, who grew up about 35 miles away from McClain, will say to his new linebacker. Would be surprised if there were no behavioral clause in McClain's contract, considering all his past problems.

@RTy I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't on waivers tomorrow.
