Lakers guard Steve Nash expected to play in Game 2 vs. Spurs
Nash missed the last eight games of the regular season with back, hip and hamstring problems.
Nash played in the Lakers 91-79 Game 1 loss to the Spurs on Sunday, logging 29 minutes and scoring 16 points with three assists and only one turnover. Game 2 is Wednesday night and he did participate in today’s practice.
“It’s not great, it’s not going to be great.” Definitely an “is what it is” scenario he has to make the most of,” Nash said according to the team’s Twitter feed.
Nash admitted he was sore after the game, but said that the team needed him out of the floor.
“I’m not myself,” Nash said to the Los Angeles Times after the game. “I’m not moving that well. I’m struggling a little bit. I probably had a few shots in there that I probably normally make, but I still think it’s important to try and contribute. We don’t have enough points in our lineup every night.”
