Jadeveon Clowney scores a touchdown in South Carolina spring game

Uncategorized

South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney did not play in the Gamecocks spring game on Saturday because of multiple ailments, including a mild neck sprain.

It did not mean that Clowney wasn’t going to see the field in some way, and he did for one play.

Clowney came from the sidelines without a helmet or pads and caught a pass, rolled around on the ground before getting up and waltzing into the end zone, much to the delight of the South Carolina faithful.

Clowney is expected to be a Heisman Trophy candidate this upcoming season. He was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2012 after setting school records with 13 sacks and 23.5 tackles for loss.

(ELLIS: What’s left for Clowney to prove?)

Clowney is sitting out spring practice in effort to improve his reading comprehension to 3rd grade level.  Listen to him talk and you know the young man has the IQ abilities of cottage cheese.
