Dodgers troll Padres via Twitter after bench-clearing brawl

MLB

Fresh off participating in one of baseball’s biggest bench-clearing rumbles of late, the Dodgers quickly took to Twitter to troll the Padres.

Shortly after Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke had his left collarbone broken by a charging Carlos Quentin, the team’s Twitter account complimented Greinke for taking Quentin’s hit “like a middle linebacker.” The tweet has since been removed.

The Dodgers kept followers updated with post-incident quotes, then let Will Farrell’s signature line from Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy set the tone for the teams’ social media departments anticipating the Padres visit to Dodger Stadium on Monday:

Quentin has said, and it is pretty obvious from the video that Greinke started this fight.  Not defending Quentin, just sayin Dodgers... your guy is kind of a jerk too.

Dodger's P.R. rep deserves a raise for the Ron Burgundy tweet. That is hilarious, and I don't even care about the Dodgers lol

@serveaux What??? That's idiotic!!! How'd he start this fight??? It was accidental. A 3-2 count with a one run lead...really??? He started the fight. I don't even want to waist my breath on an argument with you!!!!

@BryanCustard Yea, hilarious if you're either retarded or were born two days ago. It's only the 800 millionth time that "joke" has been used.

Calm down. Read that again.  I never said Grienke had any intention of hitting him. Watch the video and pay attention to Quentin's body language and Grienke's body language and tell me who started that fight.

I can add some more punctuation if that helps.
