Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been praised the past couple of weeks because of his quick recovery from having surgery on right knee.

Griffin tore his ACL, LCL and meniscus in his right knee during a 24-14 playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks and had surgery on Jan. 9 to repair those ligaments.

Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said in an interview on NFL Network that Griffin’s hard work is paying off. He still isn’t saying whether Griffin will be healthy enough to start the season opener in September.

“He’s over at the facility, rehabbing all of the time. He’ll set a record for coming back because that’s how hard he works,” Shanahan said, via Profootballtalk. “He is ahead, but there’s a process. It takes time. Robert will do it the right way and we’ll find out in July exactly where he’s at. He will not come back until he’s 100 percent.”

Lot of conflicting reports out of DC this offseason about RGIII. He says we won't risk his career to get back by the opening game and Shanahan says he has some super-human healing powers and will set some record. So....he's going to play in the opener?
