The Raiders have waived linebacker Rolando McClain. McClain was owed $4 million in 2013 and $5.8 million in 2014. The Raiders have been expected to release McClain, and allowed him to explore trade options. The Raiders signed three new linebacker starters, leaving little room and no use for McClain.

Once he hits the open market, McClain should generate some interest from other teams. Once a No. 8 draft pick, McClain was a bust for the Raiders with off-field issues and limited coverage ability. Still, he’s only 23-years-old and a good run defender.

With McClain waived, Darren McFadden is the only first-rounder from the last 10 years still on the Raiders roster.

Former 1st round pick on defense. Gaps in his game. Off-field and attitude issues. A repo project. Coach familiar with him from a previous job (HueJ) Here come the Bengals! The only possible weakness is the guys age, he's not OLD.

The Ravens should give him a shot. The have a couple seasoned linebackers he could learn from and a little more stable team to play for. They need a run stopper in the middle after the departures.

It says Rolando should generate some interest from other teams. I didn't realize some many teams would be interested in a slow, uninspiring, non-disruptive on the field, very disruptive off the field linebacker. Hmmm...
