Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star forward Kevin Love has only played 18 games this season due to a variety of injuries, including breaking bones in his right hand that has sidelined him since Jan. 3.

Love now thinks he may not play again this season and says the thought has crossed his mind about shutting it down for the rest of the season. The Timberwolves are 24-44 this season.

“If the doctor says another week to 10 days or something like that, who knows?” Love said to the St. Paul Pioneer-Press. “I know not playing (the rest of the season) has crossed the minds of other people, whether it’s (Wolves president of basketball operations Kahn) David, Glen (Wolves owner Taylor) or coach (Rick Adelman).”

Love broke the third and fourth metacarpal bones in his right hand twice this season, the first while doing knuckle push-ups at his home in October. He broke the same bones again in January when he collided with Denver Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried.

When Kevin Love looks at himself in the mirror, he is wearing Purple and Gold.  He has already checked out of Minnesota.
