Patriots’ Vince Wilfork rips ex-teammate for calling wife ugly

I am surprised at all the negative emotion over a ' shock jock' baiting. The only thing wrong with Johnson's comment is he said it on the air. Privately, it's pretty funny because it's common locker room talk. It's razzing. ' Your wife is so ugly that....' has been going on forever. I can't believe that posters on a sports forum would waste their time to pass judgment on someone else's black humor. The greatest American humor has always been based upon sacrilege - topics that are taboo and not PC.

As my interest in sports waned a bit as I have aged, I have no prior knowledge of any of the three involved here but just looking at what was said have come to several conclusions.  1)  Whoever the radio host was that started the whole thing should at the very least be given a stern lecture on proper questions to be asked and a few unpaid days off to think about it  2) Johnson is an idiot to be drawn in like that.  A more proper answer would have been to tell his host that he did not answer insensitive questions.  3)  With Wilfork's attitude toward his family and defending them, I would love to shake that man's hand and stress to him haw refreshing an 'old school' attitude like that is.  4)  As I opened, never seen or heard of any of these people, but just basing it on her answer, Mrs. Willfork is one classy lady that has more beauty than the majority of the population.  She has more class in her little finger nail than a whole city full of Johnsons or radio announcers.

Johnson is a fool.  You never make personal remarks about a teammate or co-worker, even if you are no longer on the same team.  Its just low class.  The question was low class too.  Questions like that should not have been allowed on air.  Don't these stupid radio stations screen these things?

lets not forget the character or lack of character Ted Johnson has...........he is a struggling EX-athlete, 

 domestic abuse incident with his wife or ex-wife, drug addict, mental instability - how many antidepressants does he take ? He is a washed up, pathetic excuse of man and lack no character or cooth........and instead of making comments about another mans wife....has he looked at the size of his his own head, its enormous??? or will he tell us its because of all his concussions?.  Ted Johnson You are a wash-up - and a huge tool!!!  Wilfork We love YOU and your wife !!!!! 

I think his wife and family are cool as hell.  They usually show her in the stands with some of her relatives during the home games and she is cheering the Pats on hard.  Low blow by Ted Johnson.  Now everybody is gonna remember him as the guy who put his foot in his mouth.

If Wilforks' wife is ugly as hell just deal with it and move on. There are lots of ugly woman out there no big deal.

Zero mention of the radio employee who ASKED such an insulting, degrading and cruel question.  What is his name, his boss' name, and their Twitters, emails and phone numbers?  The radio employee must explain what is even remotely appropriate about trapping an un-warned athlete into publically judging which former team member has the "ugliest wife."  Instead of, you know, talking football or any subject less offensive.  Of course Johnson should have refused to answer, then shamed the asker for even imagining such a hurtful question in a public forum.

Would radio guy have asked the same question had any football wives and their athlete husbands been in the same room?  No way.  Any question failing this test also fails the adult-behavior test and should never be broadcast.  Did radio guy first run this insult past anyone at all, just to see if it might be received as heinously un-funny and genuinely hurtful?  If so, and if those reviewers thought it would be hilarious, their names, Twitters and emails must be published as well.  Was the broadcast aired live?  If not, why was this not edited out before airplay?

Cruelty of this caliber is normally reserved for playgrounds.  What hurts most of all is that this doesn't hurt just the private woman publically judged as "ugliest of all."  Her children WILL read and hear their mother publically shamed, over and over, and forever, as that's how the Internet works; regrets can never be erased from this permanent digital archive.  When other kids in their school hear of this, you can bet the Wilfork children will be mercilessly bullied because of it.

Would radio guy or Johnson think it funny if THEIR mothers were publically degraded this way?  What child would not be outraged at such public ugliness aimed directly at the most cherished woman in their lives?  Would they publically degrade a sensitive teenage daughter like this; by calling her the "ugliest of all" like a slab of meat with no value?  Both of these "men" owe the Wilfork children an explanation and profound apology.  Both must be educated on the very real hurt caused by callous men disrespecting innocent women this way.

When I saw the Wilfork family photo, I was struck at how beautiful, happy and loving they all appeared; a family so blessed and lucky to be together; to support and protect each other against REAL ugliness from the cold hearts of shallow men.

First I musty say that until I read the article about Ted Johnson putting his foot in mouth when he joined a Houston area radio station and called Vince Wilfork's wife, Bianca, ugly.  I had no idea who any of these people were. So I like a lot of other people looked it up.  And what I found was a beautiful family a wife who loves her husband and children who does a lot of charity work.. A husband who also loves his family above all else.  And I think this is a beautiful family. I imagine where ever they go there will be people who will always want what they share together.  I am now a van of Vince and Bianca Wilfork. Bianca in my book you are a beautiful person inside and out.

Is there any other site but profootballtalk.com that features otherwise unemployed writers who steal all their material from other sites? Of course, I could never post this comment there because it is the most heavily censored site on the internet. NBC is a dying network because it features such unimaginative material like that site to promote its fourth place - and sliding - agenda.

I think they make a great looking couple, actually... I can't believe he andwered that question! You'd think he'd have learned not to answer stuff like that; like when a woman asks if she looks fat in dress... you just don't...

I'd be all over the idiot DJ who even asked that question. How old is this ninja? 12? Who's the ugliest wife? It's your moms, you clown! They say DJ's have great faces for Radio.... Ask your dad that question, if you know who he is. What does that have to do with Football? Man, I am not a Pats fan by a mile but talk about a man's family and ninjas get DEALT like some cards....

Props to Wolfork for AND his LOVELY, CONFIDENT AND INTELLIGENT WIFE for: A) Taking the high road and B) Repping family in this day and age when children look up to tramps and promiscuous men/women/whatever as role models. And............ I'M OUT!

I don't care who you are, a real man never says something negative about another man's wife. Ever. You got something to say to someone? Do it man to man, face to face. Attacking somebody's wife is the height of cowardice.
