Jarvis Jones on the NFL draft: ‘I think I’m the number one player’

Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s D. Orlando Ledbetter that he thought he was the top player in the NFL draft after performing at Georgia’s Pro Day workout on Thursday. Jones chose not to work out at the Scouting Combine in February, deciding to focus on Georgia’s Pro Day instead.
He started his career at USC and then transferred after doctors recommended that he quit football due to spinal stenosis. Jones also had ankle, groin and shoulder injuries that hampered him during the 2012 season. The 6-foot-3-inch, 241-pound linebacker ran a 4.85 40-yard dash, according to Marc Weiszer.
He says he has visits scheduled with the Chiefs, Eagles and Lions, all of whom have Top 5 draft picks.
