Cleveland Cavaliers fan runs onto court, shakes LeBron James’ hand
As the Miami Heat completed a roaring comeback against the Cavaliers on Wednesday night, a Cleveland fan ran onto the court and greeted LeBron James before being escorted by security.
The fan was wearing a shirt that said “We miss you, 2014 come back” — a reference to James potentially rejoining the Cavaliers by opting out of his contract after next season — according to multiple reports.
The incident occurred midway through the fourth quarter with the Heat leading by four after trailing by double digits throughout the first three quarters and by as many as 27 points in the third.
James’ eight-point surge in the opening minutes of the fourth quarter tied the game. He finished with his fourth triple-double of the season as the Heat extended their historic winning streak to 24 games with a 98-95 win.
