Report: Elvis Dumervil parts ways with agent Marty Magid after contract snafu
The day after a contract snafu that forced him into free agency, defensive end/linebacker Elvis Dumervil has parted ways with agent Marty Magid, according to The Baltimore Sun‘s Aaron Wilson.
Dumervil and Magid agreed to a restructured deal that would have involved the player accepting a $4 million pay cut, according to the Associated Press, but the team received the signed contract seven minutes after the deadline.
Magid blamed the Broncos for the error, telling USA Today that the team made late changes to the financial details. There is no animosity between Dumervil and the agent, according to Wilson.

I'm told there's no animosity between Elvis Dumervil and his agent. Just a bad situation that unfolded, obviously, and now Elvis moves on—

Magid works for MRM Sports & Entertainment, which also represents mostly low-profile players, such as Ravens running back Bernard Pierce. He will waive the five-day waiting period the NFLPA requires for players wanting to change agents, Wilson is reporting.

Tom Condon of Creative Artists Agency, who represents both of the Manning brothers, is the leading candidate to become Dumervil’s new agent, according to FoxSports.com’s Alex Marvez.

Dumervil, who posted 63.5 sacks and made three Pro Bowls in his six years with the Broncos, has reportedly drawn interest from several teams, including the Ravens.
No animosity between Dumervil and his agent, huh? Wow, who'd be dumb enough to believe that? Even if Dumervil were willing to accept the idea that the Broncos were primarily to blame it only stands to reason that he'd still be fairly pissed at his agent for not making sure whatever 11th-hour problems there were got ironed out before the deadline, obviously.
This came as a big surprise to... no one!
No animosity, but he fired his a * *.
