Former Steelers OL Willie Colon signs with the Jets
Willie Colon has signed a one-year, $1.2 million deal with the New York Jets. Colon was released by the Steelers earlier this week to clear $5.5 million in Pittsburgh’s cap space.
The seven-year vet has experience at both guard and tackle, and should make a nice addition to the Jets, provided his chronically injured knees hold up. Colon has had three consecutive seasons end because of his knees; his 2012 season ended with a knee injury that required surgery to repair.
Jets have signed OL Willie Colon to a 1 yr deal. Another potential steal if he can stay healthy—

The New York Jets have signed retired quarterback Joe Namath to a 1 year, $2.4 million deal. Commenting on the acquisition, head coach Rex Ryan said, 'When you talk about elite quarterbacks, I think he's an elite quarterback because he wins the big games and he's a winner.'
The Steelers spent years trying to replace this guy, and only injuries made him a starter. And now he is a "big" addition for the Jets?
