A grievance filed by Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Eric Wright to challenge the voiding of his $7.75 million guarantee for the 2013 season was denied by an arbitrator on Friday, reports NFL.com.

The void of the guarantee went into effect after Wright was suspended four games for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances. Wright said he used Adderall, which is on the league’s banned substances list, unless it is approved by the league. Wright had 34 tackles and one interception last season.

The team could still release Wright and if they do, they will have around $31 million in cap space to go after free agents. Wright is due $7.25 million in 2014-2015, $7.5 million in 2016 on the back end of a five-year, $38 million contract signed last year.
