The Redskins reached an agreement with offensive tackle Jeremy Trueblood, a free agent with the Bucs. The news was first reported by NFL writer Jenna Laine. The deal is contingent upon a physical.
Trueblood, 29, had plans to visit Washington this weekend but managed to strike a deal earlier. Financial terms were not immediately available.
The 6-foot-8, 320-pound offensive tackle suffered a shoulder injury and spent all but nine games on injured reserve. Trueblood started in only one and then lost his job as a starter after Week 1. He was drafted by the Bucs in the second round (59th overall) of the 2006 draft.
